    Educational Process

Humanitarian Courses are a versatile set of diverse academic disciplines, focused on the exploration of the way people express, understand, recognize and document their human experience in this world. The educational programs cover such areas as the study of human speech, the way of functioning of contemporary society, the development of ideas, improvement of knowledge and skills, important historical and cultural events, behavior patterns, challenges, human interactions, and relationships, etc.

Studying Humanity Sciences subjects involves the study of human behavior and relationships in social, cultural, environmental, economic, and political spheres. The aim is to support students in developing and studying processes, develop their ability to question, think critically, solve problems, communicate effectively, make decisions and adapt to change as active and informed citizens.

The verbal method, discussion debates, practical method of teaching, analysis, and synthesis methods will be used in the lectures and practical works. The program also provides the latest teaching-learning methodology (use of information technologies) in the study process, which ensures the implementation of individual modules or aims of the program in general.

The priority of the program is to stimulate students for maximal activity during lectures and practical work, to take into account students’ abilities in the educational process, and at the same time to facilitate full implementation of their opportunities that will ensure achieving maximum learning outcomes. You will have the opportunity to obtain knowledge in such courses:

    Philosophy

Our courses are designed to explore the role of philosophy in the twenty-first century. Part of the School of Humanities, we are one of the main centers in the UK for the study of European Philosophy, specializing in Continental Philosophy at all levels of teaching and research.

We also provide expert supervision in the History of Philosophy and Philosophy of Science. We have a particular interest in interdisciplinary work linking Philosophy with the visual arts and literature, and in projects that involve thinking across the boundaries of philosophical traditions.

    Languages

Learning a language is not just about learning words and phrases: it is about embracing different cultures, and diverse lifestyles, and discovering more about the people and the world around you.

Our dynamic Languages team has years of experience in teaching languages to undergraduates, postgraduates, staff, and members of the public. Teaching is student-centered and classes involve lively interaction. As well as learning a language, you will develop skills in oral and written presentation, debate, interpretation, translation, and creative writing.

    History

We are an enthusiastic team of historians interested in the social, economic, cultural, and political history of the early and late modern periods.

    Linguistics

The study of linguistics helps us to become more aware of our use of language. It assists greatly in the learning and teaching of languages. It is particularly vital for teaching and recording Indigenous languages to ensure their survival for future generations.

    Social Work

Researchers at the School of Social Work develop solutions to society’s most difficult challenges.
